Hired prior to breaking ground, we held the responsibility of managing and selecting the interior details and finishes for this extensive property on the shore of Lake Washington. As part of a multi-year build, we saw this project from the planning stages to completion, beginning with design review before construction to furnishing principal rooms of the home. Our clients’ combined backgrounds were a guiding force in the design: her roots on the East Coast and his upbringing in California created an aesthetic that was a perfect fit with how we view interiors. The brief always came back to reinterpreting traditional East Coast architecture for the West Coast’s casual lifestyle. This project had us involved in all details, from selecting outdoor masonry and shingle stain to interior planning and design of six bathrooms, a secondary prep kitchen (in addition to the award-winning main kitchen), a recreational bar and entertaining area, and an extensive main bedroom suite.
