A labor of love, this home is unrecognizable from the day it was purchased, save for the existing period details preserved during its renovation. Built in 1926, this center-hall Colonial was found in disrepair and in need of a complete restoration. Over the course of several years, we touched all aspects of this home with renovation plans and construction drawings completed by our office, even extending to garden design when the home was landscaped. 

To modernize the upper floor, we reconfigured multiple rooms to allow for an ensuite bath in the primary bedroom and walk-in closet. On the main floor, the back portion of the home was rearranged to add a powder bath, pantry and sizeable kitchen where there had once been a series of choppy rooms and underutilized hallways. The previously unfinished basement was planned and renovated to include an additional bedroom, a theater-style rec room, gym and “little kitchen,” a term for the mudroom’s extra refrigerator and bar borrowed from her sorority days.
